Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 19, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information ParkRight ("ParkRight", "we", "us") collects, how it's used, and the choices available to office administrators, employees who register a vehicle, and anyone who uses the scanner. By using ParkRight, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

1. Information we collect

Account information. Admins sign in with Google. We receive your name, email address, and Google account identifier from that sign-in — we never see or store your Google password.

Office and vehicle records. Admins enter office details (name, parking block identifiers, office number/floor, an optional contact number) and vehicle records (plate number, owner name, vehicle type, frequency, an optional model) — by hand, by uploading a spreadsheet, or by sharing a self-service link that lets an employee register their own vehicle's plate number, name, vehicle type, frequency, and optional model directly.

Camera images are never uploaded — plate scanning happens entirely on your device. When you scan a plate, the photo is captured and analyzed locally in your browser; the image itself is never sent to our servers or stored anywhere. Only the decoded plate number (text) is sent to our server, to be checked against the registered vehicle list.

No scan history is recorded. Looking up a plate is a one-time, stateless request — we do not keep a log of who scanned what plate or when.

Technical data. The self-service vehicle registration link briefly uses your IP address to prevent automated abuse (rate limiting). This is held in server memory only, is never written to a database, and isn't linked to any account.

Cookies. We use a session cookie solely to keep signed-in admins logged in. We do not use advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies, and we do not run any third-party analytics on this app.

2. How we use information

3. Who we share information with

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers. Data is processed by the infrastructure providers that run the app on our behalf:

We may also disclose information if required to by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of ParkRight, our users, or the public.

4. Data retention

Office and vehicle records are kept until an admin deletes them (an office can only be deleted once it has no vehicles left registered against it). Admin account records persist for as long as the associated Google sign-in remains in use.

5. Security

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

6. Your rights and choices

If you're an employee whose vehicle is registered by your office admin, you can ask your office admin to correct or remove your vehicle record at any time — they have direct access to edit and delete it. If you'd like to reach us directly about your data, contact us using the details below.

7. Children's privacy

ParkRight is intended for use by office administrators and employees, not by children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 16.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page.
