Why Google Sign-In
Only office administrators sign in, using their Google account — the scanner itself needs no account at all. Signing in with Google means we request just your name and email address, to confirm you're an authorized administrator. We never access your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, contacts, or any other Google data.
- • All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).
- • Self-service registration links are encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and expire after 24 hours.
- • The database isn't reachable through any public API — only the application server can query it.
Privacy
We collect only what ParkRight needs to work: office and vehicle records entered by admins, and your name/email when you sign in. Scanning a plate never uploads a photo — only the decoded plate number is sent to check authorization, and we don't keep a log of individual scans. We don't run ads or third-party analytics, and we never sell data.

Does ParkRight upload or store photos of scanned plates?
No. Plate detection and reading happen entirely on your device — the photo never leaves it. Only the decoded plate number is sent to check authorization.
What information do you access from my Google account?
Just your name and email address, used only to verify you're a signed-in administrator. We never access Gmail, Drive, Calendar, or contacts.
Do you keep a record of every scan?
No — each scan is a one-time lookup. We don't log who scanned which plate, or when.
Who can see my office's vehicle data?
Only the admins for that office. If your own vehicle was registered by an admin, you can ask them to correct or remove it at any time.
Is data sold or shared with advertisers?
Never. We don't run ads or third-party analytics, and we don't sell data to anyone.
Does the scanner need an internet connection?
Plate detection and reading run offline on your device - a connection is only needed to check the result against your office's roster.
